On New Years Day 2010 we hiked to the Sandy Star.
It was a steep & slippery hike that took about a half hour.

As the sun set, the snow turned all shades of pink, blue and purple.
It must have been cold out but I didn't feel it.
Being with my family, surrounded by the beauty of where we live,
I was filled with the warmth you receive when you are grateful for life's blessings.

Here is a short video I made of our hike so you can enjoy some of the beautiful views too!

That sounds like a great tradition. Can we come next year? Great work on the video!
Good job on your video mom! That was one slippery hike, but it was worth it! The city looked so pretty!
Nice post! I like how you couldn't even tell the Winnies were with you at all. Its ok though.
Love it! For some crazy reason it made me cry when I saw Pat. Why? Finland connection maybe... Love you guys. We need each other.....
Mary...It's because Pat and Neil both have Sisu! (See Sue) It means fortitude, strength, courage etc in Finnish.
I am guessing it is also because you miss him a whole lot!
Linda...hmmmm...if that isn't the Winnie clan with us in the first 3/4 of the video then I don't know who it is ;) Besides I feel lucky we got any footage at all considering all of the camera issues we were having:)
