Blast from the not so distant past... 4th of July 2006
Weather reports of a possible rain shower helped make our decision to not make the trip to the local city park where we could enjoy the firework show from the comfort of our cozy blankets. This made Jake extremely happy since he would much rather buy the cheap fireworks sold from the firework stands that pop up here in Utah at the end of June, and stick around through July 24th for the big pioneer celebration. July in Utah is one gigantic firework party:) Love Love Love it! Anyway the night started out with a run to 7-11 for slurpees, and then on to the Winnie's front curb.

The light rain we got that night didn't ruin anything, but did add a nice visual effect on the wet asphalt creating a glow from both above and below.... spectacular

The illegal firework display that went on in the
neighborhood was pretty good too, but just
so you know.... they weren't ours!
